So the Kickstarter project for this series of fine art prints is up and running! First off I want to thank everyone who supports the project! I'll be intermittently posting updates to the project here and via twitter @cstewartart, so make sure to check back in the coming days/weeks. You can check out the project on Kickstarter here:

Fifth Charcoal Drawing in Series: Crawl Space
The fifth and final drawing from the series is finally here! This is one of my favorite scenes from the show. Walt's break down in the crawl space is such an incredible moment and very interesting visually. The Kickstarter project will be going live shortly, so be sure to check it out and donate if you're interested in a print!

Charcoal Drawing 4: The Most Stoic Man
Mike is always calm. He never betrays his emotions, and when he has a job to do, he doesn't take half measures. I loved this scene. The implication that Mike could be leading Jesse to his grave is macabre and tense, but Mike keeps that stoic demeanor in tact. I once again used gouache in this one for the background. I was hoping to communicate the isolation of the desert outside Albuquerque.
Charcoal Drawing 3: Gustavo Fring's Last Stand
I love this one! Gus is such an interesting character. He was always able to live such a convincing double life. "Hiding in plain sight" as he called it. Gus' demise is the perfect reflection of these two lives crashing headlong into one another. His cool, collected demeanor on one side, the monstrous reality on the other. I incorporated gouache into this one, and think it turned out really well.
Charcoal Drawing 2: Walt and Jesse Break Bad
For the second drawing in this series I went with Jesse and Mr. White together from a promo shot. I loved the perspective on this one. The relationship between these two characters is so tortured and brimming with manipulation and other seedy undercurrents. Watching these two develop through the series has been incredible.
Charcoal Drawing 1: Jesse Faces Gale
This is the first drawing in a series of five pieces devoted to the amazing show Breaking Bad. I tried to capture the depth of emotion present in one of my favorite single scenes from the series. Aaron Paul is amazingly expressive, and shows some serious complexity in his portrayal of Jesse. This piece was a lot of fun to do.
