Charcoal Drawing 4: The Most Stoic Man

Mike is always calm. He never betrays his emotions, and when he has a job to do, he doesn't take half measures. I loved this scene. The implication that Mike could be leading Jesse to his grave is macabre and tense, but Mike keeps that stoic demeanor in tact. I once again used gouache in this one for the background. I was hoping to communicate the isolation of the desert outside Albuquerque.
